Thanksgiving can be challenge – family, traffic, dry turkey – and how do you spell Michaelmas, Massachusetts or Marshmallow?!

 

Challenge yourself to our Thanksgiving Spelling Challenge!

1.) In class – have students play the quiz while you are projecting the leaderboard! As you refresh the leaderboard reward top spot, fastest mover with marshmallows!

2.) In class – extend the challenge – have students write a letter to Sarah Josepha Hale – the woman who not only lobbied for Thanksgiving to be a holiday – but who wrote Mary Had A Little Lamb! Students should thank her for getting them this holiday – but they must use as many words from the quiz as they can – and spell them correctly!

3.)In the car – play the quiz and try to beat each other’s scores!
