The first thanksgiving was held over three days in November 1621. The Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe shared a meal – with the Pilgrims celebrating the first Harvest in the colony.
William Bradford, the governor of the colony, sent 4 men out to catch foul for the feast, and the pilgrims were joined by Massasoit and 90 people of the Wampanoag tribe.
